Stork Beginning's Terms and Conditions

1. General Information

By booking and attending any classes, courses, retreats or services provided by Stork Beginnings, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

2. Midwife-Led Classes

While our classes are led by a qualified midwife, they are delivered in a non-clinical, educational capacity. This means the midwife will not be providing individual medical assessments, diagnoses, or treatment plans. The content provided in the courses is intended for informational purposes only and does not replace medical advice.

If you have any specific concerns or issues related to your pregnancy or health, please contact your designated midwife or GP. Stork Beginnings cannot diagnose, treat, or provide clinical care during these sessions.

3. Health and Safety

We recommend you seek approval from your healthcare provider before participating in any physical activities or practices discussed during our sessions, including hypnobirthing techniques, aromatherapy, and newborn care methods. Participation in these activities is at your own risk.

For online classes, you are responsible for ensuring that your environment is safe and appropriate for participation. Stork Beginnings cannot be held liable for any incidents that occur in your personal space during or after the session.

4. Payments and Deposits

A non-refundable deposit, as outlined on the booking page, is required to secure your place in any Stork Beginnings course or service. This deposit is due at the time of registration and confirms your booking.

The remaining balance of the course fee is due as outlined in your booking confirmation (e.g., cash on arrival for in-person classes or via a specified payment method for online classes). If you wish to discuss payment plans, please email us at info@storkbeginnings.co.uk.

In the unlikely event that a class or course is cancelled by Stork Beginnings, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable. We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel, so we can offer your space to someone on the waiting list.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a class may not be eligible for a refund of the remaining balance. If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability and at our discretion.

Refunds (where applicable) will be processed within 7 working days via the original payment method.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

At Stork Beginnings, we are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We collect only the necessary personal information to deliver our services and communicate with you effectively. Your data is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, unless required by law.

You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data at any time. For full details on how your data is handled, please refer to our Privacy Policy on our website.

7. Liability

While we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment during our sessions, participation is at your own risk. Stork Beginnings is not liable for any injuries, health conditions, or complications that may arise from attending our classes.

It is your responsibility to ensure that any practices discussed are suitable for your individual health and pregnancy circumstances.

8. Course Content and Use

All course content, including written materials, audio files, and hypnobirthing resources, are provided for personal use only. Redistribution, reproduction, or public sharing of any course materials without prior written consent from Stork Beginnings is strictly prohibited.

All materials remain the intellectual property of Stork Beginnings and are protected under copyright law.

9. Changes to Courses

We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel classes or sessions due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor availability, venue changes, illness). In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer alternative arrangements where feasible.

10. Course Attendance

10.1 Punctuality: Participants are expected to arrive on time for each session. Late arrivals may miss important information, and class times cannot be extended to accommodate latecomers.

10.2 Class Conduct: We aim to create a positive and respectful learning environment. Disruptive behaviour or inappropriate conduct may result in removal from the course without refund.

11. Agreement to Terms

By booking a class or course with Stork Beginnings, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. You acknowledge that the midwife’s role is non-clinical during these sessions, and that you will seek appropriate medical advice from your healthcare provider when necessary.

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or published on our website. Continued participation following any updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Complaints

If you have any concerns or feedback about your experience, please contact us at info@storkbeginnings.co.uk. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 5 working days.
